FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Class MVA Approved?

Yes.  By taking the online class you will get credit for the driver education classroom portion.

How old do I have to be to start the class?

Students must be at least 15 years old to start but you do not have to have a learner's permit.

How do I get the login information for the class?

Students will receive a text or email invite code the evening before class start date or the morning the class is scheduled to begin.  You can use this code to enter the virtual classroom at Zoom.us.  If you do not see a zoom invitation in your email, please check "Junk" or "Spam" folder.

How do I Register?

Registration can be done online or by phone.  You may complete the form on the Register page on this site or call 301-766-0087.

When will we do the driving Portion?

Driver Education courses include 6 hours of in car instruction.  We are fully staffed for the in-car portion of the program at this time.  Students will be scheduled after completing the classroom portion and passing the final exam.  Please note our office takes 2-3 weeks to process all in-car requests. Please complete form here to schedule.

How long do I have to complete the Driver Ed program?

Each student will have 1 year from the course start date to complete all class days and driving appointments to receive credit for the program. At the end of one year, your file will be closed.

How about Payment?

Payment must be made online at our Payment page or by cash or check by contacting our office.  The fee for this class is $389 and must be made at time of registration.  Withdraws and cancellations after course starts will be charged $50 due to our limited enrollment. If you paid in advance for a prior class, that payment can be used for part of the tuition for this program.  Keep in mind you will still have to register for the online class.

Are there any other classroom requirements?

You will not be scheduled to drive until we have your MVA Bill of Rights signed by you and Parent as well as the ADS Permission Slip Completed and Signed.  Both can be found HERE!

Can I miss classes?

Yes, but it is an MVA regulation that you can not miss the first day of class. The maximum amount of days missed cannot exceed 4. Missed classes delay course completion. We can not guarantee when you will be added to a new session. MVA only allows a certain number of students in each class and new registrants will have priority.  A $20 fee will be applied for ALL makeup classes.
